The Maximise Your Profits System is a 5 step process that puts your business on a path that is focused on satisfying both the customer and the bottom line. The system is designed to help your business make more money, have increased cash flow, increased sales and significantly better business-leisure balance.

The System is a process that can be designed as complex or as simple as you want it to be. If you are new in business or the numbers scare you, we will design the process to ensure you feel comfortable and in control.

The Maximise Your Profits System is designed to bring alignment to the business's financial and non-financial objectives right through to its structure and activities. If a business has a weakness in one step of the process it may be magnified at the later steps.

The System is about making your business effective as well as efficient. There can be a tendency for a business to lose effectiveness as it  tries to become efficient. Effective is doing the right things that will make the business successful over the long term.

For example, a business will reduce expenses in an area that was actually producing a competitive advantage over its competitors. Reducing staff or advertising are prime examples.

The 5 Steps to Maximise Your Profit

Step 1: Define the Mission
Often a small business will spend too much buying things that aren't necessary to manage the business or their advertising dollars are wasted as they try to sell their products to everybody. This problems occurs because the business has a lack of focus and no reference point is used when making decisions.

Define the Mission will help your business reduce your costs and increase your sales by defining a reference point and setting realistic profit and sales goals. This step will figure out where you want to go, how to get there and what is needed to get there.

This step will define your ideal customer, determine their common problem, describe your solution and determine your financial objectives. This is aligning the fianancial and non-financial objectives.

Step 2: Determine the Critical Numbers
Many business owners are tired and frustrated from working long hours and seeing very little reward for their hard work. They don't realise they are losing money because they don't know the critical numbers for their business.

Determine the Critical Numbers
will show you how to control costs, stop cash flow leakages and increase profit by understanding the critical numbers. This step is about discovering what is helping the business achieve the mission and what obstacles are hindering the mission being achieved.

Business is about satisfying both the customers and the numbers. By having the greatest product or service will not mean the business will make a profit. The business must also satisfy the numbers: making money and generating cash. Alternatively, having a business that is solely focused on the numbers will eventually die as the business will have no heart.

Step 3: Design the Plan
Many times a small business will feel like they are on a merry-go-round. The business feels like it is moving forward but they always end up back in the same place. This will happen when a business uses strategies that are not appropriate for their business.

Design the Plan
will show you what areas to work on in your business that will make the biggest difference. In this step you will design the strategy that you are going to use to achieve the mission using the critical numbers from Step 2.

Step 4: Do the Plan
A business will try a new strategy and when it doesn't work will never try that strategy again. They will not know if it was the procedure or the execution that was the problem for the failure of the strategy. The problem will stem from the fact they did not test and measure the strategy.

will increase your success at implementing new strategies by measuring performance and adjusting the strategy. This step is executing the plan and ensuring that the business's activities are aligned with the mission and the critical numbers.

Step 5: Reflect
The final step is to reflect on the process. The Maximise Your Profits System is a continual process of improvement. The System is designed to build on the experience of the past.

Reflect
is a step to review what was achieved and if necessary, to adjust any of the previous four steps. You will review what is working and what went wrong and why.
